Since we came back in August the power supply was unusual unpredictable. Whole of Nairobi has to cope with reduces availability of electricity. At our place in Spring Valley is announced to be off on Tuesdays, Thurdays and Saturdays from appoximatley 08 to 17. This is very inconvenient for me as working mom and washing machine user. And if I want to shower in the morning, I better do it before 0730, otherwise it can be come a cold shower. Also buying of icecream and freezer content is not very wise, especially if the temperatures outside rise a little.
Sofar we have recieved water from tank cars, but I have heard they cost €40 for one weeks non extravagant water use.
