The last week has been quite cold for, so cold that many have found their iceskating gear from the bottom of the cuboard, like me here at my parents house. My own skates are in Norway of cause, and Merijns I have given to somebody, since they were almost to small last year. Here we found a few pair of skates, even an old pair of mine size 37 fitting neighter Merijn nor me. But my mothers old pair we were able to use both.
About 10 minutes biking form here there is a field that is used all year round for many activities and when it is forcasted that the temperatures will drop below zero it is filled with water to become ice. The last few days it has been full with people of all ages playing in the middle and with some more speed along the edged making the largest circle possible. He
re I put on the skates and found out they badly needed sharpening. I was unable to persuade Merijn although, but he had fun as well on his boots without any profile sliding about.
