Just another day. Merijn is fast asleep and I listen to Eurythmics on my hardisk connected to my labtop. Todays main points were recieving my entrance card for the ICRAF compound and my office phone works again, so I can make internal calls. I had an appointment with Joyce an housing agent, who is trusted by ICRAF. She wanted me to see an townhouse. It was as big as a villa, just without the garden. Many of the available houses here are very big villas with large gardens. Compared to what you get in square meter they are relatively cheep, but it comes with many extra costs of staf for security, gardening and cleaning and the organising of this. I do think I prioratise right to find a littlebitt smaller place, where the security is a part of the rent and just an aya for Merijn will do. For Merijn it will be also much better in to have a place in a compoud were there are other kids to find after schoolhours. This is apparently not so easy, especially since I do not want to cross the Waiyaki Way every day. I will dedicate another post to traffic ;o)
Merijns highlight today was the applepie who Hanneke shared with the class. She had her birthday today. For English he got his first book to read, which he did out loud in bed for me a few hours ago. One of my highlights today :o)
