Friday 8th of January Last day in Kenya for my parents

My parents had booked the night fight back to Amsterdam. Of all things one can do in Nairobi visiting the Giraffe centre is one of the best choices, so we did. There we met the over four meter high lady called Laura, who really loved the goodies we were supplied with by the caretakers. It was remarkable to read the information about There we also spend considerable time in the gift shop, which has a good choice of the usual stuff. On the way back from Karen, we passed the Karen Blixen museum and had coffee at Java coffeehouse.
The rest of the day we spend outside in the garden, and had a simple diner. We played a last game of rummikub before the taxi came to drive them off to the airport. The next morning they landed at Schiphol, where my brother picked them up carrying their winter jackets, since it was -4°C.
